Day 3 Camp Grades 1–3 (January 30, 2026)

Day 3 Camp Grades 1–3 (January 30, 2026) On January 30, 2026, the final day of the PC English Camp 2026 was held for Grade 1–3 students. The camp continued to be hosted by Kruu Bee and Kruu Oliver, with support from Peace Corps volunteers Lilly, Oliver, Garrett, and Gretchen, and additional assistance from Kruu Kat. The theme of the day was “My First Trip,” with the objective of introducing young learners to basic English vocabulary related to travel in a fun and engaging way. The focus was on building confidence, encouraging participation, and creating a positive learning experience. Students took part in a variety of age-appropriate activities, including transportation sorting games, weather and clothing matching, flag coloring, travel-themed songs with movement, and creative drawing tasks. These activities helped reinforce vocabulary through repetition, visuals, and hands-on learning. In the afternoon, students created their own “My Trip Book,” where they illustrated and labeled simple English words to describe destinations, transportation, and activities. This project allowed students to review what they had learned while expressing creativity. The goals of building a strong English foundation and fostering enjoyment in learning were successfully met. Students remained enthusiastic, actively participated throughout the day, and completed the camp with a sense of achievement.
